As the result of the 2024 RESNET Board Election, Taylor Fearrington, certified RESNET HERS® rater of the North Carolina based Rating Provider Southern Energy Management; Shawn Mullins, Sr. Sales Lead: Technical Sales, National Codes and Product Alignment of the insulation manufacturer Owens Corning; and Ryan Riveras, Chief Executive Officer, of the real estate appraisal consulting firm Accelerated AMC were elected to two-year terms to the RESNET Board of Directors. Mr. Fearrington was elected as a RESNET HERS Rater representative, Mr. Mullins as chair of the RESNET Suppliers Advisory Board, and Mr. Riveras as a RESNET Associate member representative. Taylor Fearrington commented on his election to the RESNET Board, “With 15 years in the building performance industry, including 10 in leadership at Southern Energy Management, I have firsthand experience as a rater and understand the challenges and opportunities in our field. I am passionate about creating systems that empower raters to excel and view their work as a meaningful contribution towards a more sustainable future. As a RESNET board member, I will advocate for raters, ensuring their voices shape policies and standards. My focus will be on better training, streamlined processes, and tools to help raters deliver greater value to homeowners and builders, balancing technical rigor with customer satisfaction.” As chair of the RESNET Suppliers Advisory Board Shawn Mullins commented, “As a participating member of the SAB for several years now, I’ve seen the positive impact we’ve had within the RESNET community. As CEO of Accelerated AMC, with 54 professional licenses nationwide, I’ve led efforts to integrate energy efficiency into the appraisal process. My leadership includes fiduciary oversight, managing financial operations, and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws. This background equips me to support RESNET’s strategic vision, governance, and legal obligations, ensuring continued success.
