Water availability is becoming an increasing concern for builders and the communities in which they build. This makes it even more critical for builders to demonstrate good stewardship of water resources. RESNET®’s whole-house water efficiency rating program, HERSH2O, and version 2.0 of the WaterSense Labeled Homes Program launched nationally in February 2021, allows builders to demonstrate the efficient use of water in the homes they build. After three years of HERSH2O ratings, RESNET staff have learned much about builders’ practices to achieve the WaterSense Label for their homes.
