RESNET Standards Update: Two Proposed Standard Amendments Out for Public Comment August 3rd

Proposed Addendum F amends Standard ANSI/RESNET/ANSI 301-2014 to create Normative Appendix A that will provide inspection procedures for the grading and assessment of installed insulation.

This amendment provides minimum insulation installation requirements and grading criteria for: insulated sheathing, fibrous batt insulation, blown or sprayed fibrous loose fill insulation, open cell spray polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation and closed cell spray polyurethane foam insulation; structural insulated panels (SIPS); reflective/radiant insulation products; attic radiant barriers, and; interior radiation control coatings (IRCCs).

Each time changes are made to a consensus draft standard the public is provided the opportunity to comment on any substantive changes to the previous public review draft. Draft Addendum F-201x was changed in response to public comments on draft PDS-02. Draft PDS-03 of BSR/RESNET/ICC 301-2014 Addendum F-201x, the third draft, is submitted for public comment on the changes to draft PDS-02.
