The Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET) Suppliers Advisory Board (SAB) has elected new leadership.

Congratulations to Shawn Mullins of Owens Corningand Justin Koscher of the Polyisocyanurate Insulation Manufacturers Association (PIMA) on being elected chair and vice chair respectively of the RESNET SAB. Longtime SAB Chair Curt Rich of NAIMA, recently retired as chair of the group and the RESNET Board of Directors.

The purpose of the RESNET SAB is to provide an opportunity for suppliers to better understand RESNET, network, and provide supplier input to the RESNET Board of Directors.

In addition to a representative seat on the RESNET Board of Directors, SAB members receive support communicating to the HERS® industry and an annual “Statistical Abstract on Trends in HERS-Rated Homes”.

“As a participating member of the SAB for several years now, I’ve seen the positive impact we’ve had within the RESNET community, says SAB Chair Shawn Mullins, Sr. Sales Lead: Technical Sales, National Codes and Product Alignment. This is in no small part a result of the SAB’s previous leadership. I am looking forward to building on this legacy and working with Justin and the rest of the SAB membership to enhance the value SAB provides to our respective industries and the larger RESNET ecosystem. Shawn adds, “In reference to the RESNET Board of Directors seat, I value the significant experience represented therein and appreciate the opportunity to work alongside these industry leaders.”

SAB Vice Chair Justin Koscher, PIMA president says, “The SAB offers manufacturers a unique opportunity to support the energy rater community as we work toward realizing a future where net zero energy homes are the standard for construction. The RESNET Board has established significant goals for growing the number of HERS-rated homes over the coming years and I look forward to working with Shawn and other SAB members to help the organization surpass these goals.”
