RESNET Receives Google Grant – Will Boost Effort to Educate Consumers on the Value of Home Energy Performance and RESNET’s Members and Partners

Apr 16, 2013

RESNET is very excited to announce that it has been approved for Google Grants, the nonprofit edition of AdWords™, Google’s online advertising tool. Through the Google Grants program, we will receive $10,000 per month in in-kind AdWords™ advertising to use towards promoting the value of RESNET members and partners, and home energy efficiency.

Google Grants was created in 2003 to help nonprofit organizations promote their missions and goals online via Google.com. The program will help us to:

  • Leverage online advertising to reach consumers when they’re searching on Google.
  • Raise awareness by choosing relevant keywords and creating unique ads that highlight the work that RESNET, our members and partners are doing.
  • Promote RESNET, our members and partners on Google with in-kind AdWords™ advertising.

The Google Grants approval is an important milestone in our ongoing efforts to educate consumers on the benefits of home energy efficiency, and the value of working with RESNET members and partners. With this new Google Grants initiative, we have yet another very powerful tool which we can use to engage consumers and expand our audience. We look forward to working with our RESNET members and partners to educate consumers on the benefits of home energy efficiency, and promoting RESNET member and partner services.
