RESNET Proposes Amendment to ANSI/RESNET/ICC Standard 301 on Duct Leakage to Outside Test Exception (PDS-01 of BSR/RESNET/ICC 301-2014 Addendum L-201x) – Deadline for Submitting Comments is Friday, November 3, 2017

The RESNET Standards Development Committee 300 authorized the release of a proposed standard amendment that allows an exception to the requirement for testing duct leakage to the outside when the duct system is located within conditioned space and certain conditions are met. (Addendum L amends Standard ANSI/RESNET/ANSI 301-2014, Standard for the Calculation and Labeling of the Energy Performance of Low-Rise Residential Buildings using an Energy Rating Index).

The proposed amended language is posted at PDS-01 of BSR/RESNET/ICC 301-2014 Addendum L-201x, Duct Leakage to Outside Test Exception.

Only the proposed changes (denoted in underline-strikeout format) are open to comment.

After the comment period, the RESNET Standard Development Committee 300 will consider and document each of the comments submitted and make appropriate changes. The revised proposed amendments then will be submitted to the RESNET Standard Management Board for adoption.
