At the Fall 2024 RESNET Board Meeting, the RESNET Board of Directors recognized members Abe Kruger and Curt Rich, who are retiring from the Board after years of service. Abe Kruger, cofounder of SK Collaborative, has over 20 years of experience in sustainable construction as a contractor, educator, and consultant in the residential construction industry. He has numerous industry accreditations, including Certified Energy Manager (CEM), LEED AP HOMES, BPI Building Analyst, Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Trainer, Quality Assurance Designee (QAD), and Rater. He is a member of the Georgia Healthy Homes Coalition Steering Committee. He is the co-author of the first residential green building textbook, Green Building: Principles and Practices in Residential Construction (Delmar/Cengage Learning). Abe Kruger has served on the RESNET Board of Directors since 2017. Curt Rich is the President and CEO of the North American Insulation Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), representing the $8 billion U.S. fiberglass and mineral wool insulation industry. Curt oversees all activities relating to the promotion of fiberglass and mineral wool insulation to all key stakeholders including policymakers, code officials, building industry professionals, and consumers. In addition, he champions policies and legislation that encourage the use of insulation to increase energy efficiency and sustainability. In 2017, Curt was elected as the new chairman of the RESNET Suppliers Advisory Board which automatically elected him to the RESNET Board as the Suppliers Advisory Board representative. During the Fall 2024 RESNET Board of Directors meeting, Abe and Curt were presented with plaques by Board President Mark Johnson, thanking them for their service.
