The RESNET Board of Directors has elected its 2023 officers. RESNET Board President Elected as RESNET Board President is Mark Johnson, Executive Vice President and Director of Business Development for the International Code Council (ICC). Mark served as the past Board Vice President. Mark is responsible for the management and oversight of product and business development, content services, publications, training, and global services at ICC. Mark also serves as the Code Council’s business liaison with organizations, including ASTM International, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), RESNET, the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. Mark previously served as President of ICC Evaluation Service, LLC, a member of ICC’s Family of Companies that provides third-party certification and testing services. Mark has served as Vice President on the RESNET Board of Directors and is a former recipient of ICC’s William J. Tangye Staff Recognition Award for Outstanding Service. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, both from California State University, Fullerton, and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. RESNET Board Vice President Elected as Board Vice President is Cy Kilbourn, Vice President of Engineering of the HERS® Rating Software Company Ekotrope. Cy has served on the RESNET Board since January 2018. RESNET Board Secretary Elected as Board Secretary is Philip Fairey, Deputy Director of the Florida Solar Energy Center. Philip has served as the RESNET Board Secretary since 2018. RESNET Board Treasurer Elected as Board Treasurer is David Beam, Chief Executive Officer of Insulate America. David has served on the RESNET Board for ten years and has been the RESNET Board Treasurer since 2019. The primary responsibilities of the RESNET Board of Directors are: • Maintain strategic vision of organization • Fiduciary oversight of organization • Governance oversight of the organization’s compliance with the RESNET By-laws, the laws and regulations of the State of California, and the IRS rules for 501(c)(3) organizations.
