RESNET Announces Public Comment on Draft PDS-01 of MINHERS® Addendum 52f: Rater and RFI Eligibility Requirements for HVAC Installation Quality Grading Proposed Addendum 52f amends the RESNET Mortgage Industry National Home Energy Rating System (MINHERS) Standard, Chapter 2 to add criteria for Rater and RFI eligibility to conduct HVAC Installation Quality Grading used with HERS® ratings. Proposed eligibility requirements include training and graded field evaluations. RESNET adopted an ‘interim’ version of the addendum, Addendum 52i, which will remain in effect until completion of the ‘final’ version, Addendum 52f. The criteria established by Addendum 52i are shown in draft PDS-01 of Addendum 52f by strikeout and underlined text in red print. Standard Development Committee 200 encourages comments providing input on criteria that will ensure the effective implementation of HVAC Installation Quality Grading in HERS® ratings. The draft addendum, comment form, and all comments submitted online are posted at Draft PDS-01 MINHERS® Addendum 52f: Rater and RFI Eligibility Requirements for HVAC Installation Grading. After the comment period, the RESNET Standard Development Committee 200 will consider and document each of the comments submitted and make appropriate changes. Substantive changes will be submitted for public comment in a second draft of the addendum. Public comments will be accepted through December 3, 2020.
