RESNET has released a new video in commemoration of reaching the milestone of three million HERS® Rated homes. The video debuted during the RESNET 2021 Virtual Conference and featured statistics on the benefits of those 3 million-plus HERS® Rated homes including: • Reduced carbon dioxide emissions, by over 49 million tons, the equivalent of taking nearly 9.7 million passenger vehicles off the road for one year. • Savings of over $8 billion in energy costs for homeowners. • Improved health and comfort of more than 13 million residents. • Employment of thousands of workers in the energy efficiency industry. The video also recognizes the HERS® Raters, Rating Field Inspectors, RESNET Providers, RESNET Suppliers, and Energy Smart Builders that have contributed to reaching this milestone.
