From the Desk of RESNET Executive Director Steve Baden May 29, 2020 On March 19, 2020, with the emergency authority granted me during the COVID-19 pandemic national emergency, RESNET adopted a policy that the RESNET Quality Assurance (QA) Team would develop alternatives to onsite quality assurance monitoring. The immediate need for the policy was to help keep your QA support team safe and healthy while responding to the shelter in place and stay at home guidelines of many states. To meet this policy the RESNET QA Team developed the “Protocols for RESNET Remote QA Field Observations of Rating Provider Field QA Reviews”. This protocol is aligned with the previous RESNET protocols for remote QA and remote field inspections that were adopted for QA Designees, HERS® Raters and Rating Field Inspectors.
