This is to announce that after almost three decades of service as the RESNET Executive Director, I will be retiring on December 31, 2025. I will pass the leadership of RESNET to a new generation. It has been my singular honor helping to found and lead our organization, witnessing its growth from ideas and concepts into a thriving entity that has made a significant impact in the homebuilding industry. Over the past decades RESNET and the HERS® industry has grown significantly. Over 4.4 million homes have been HERS rated since RESNET was founded. This has significantly boosted the energy performance of homes that are being built. The credit is all yours! As I reflect on the years at RESNET, without a doubt there were interesting challenges. Those challenges led to numerous exciting and notable achievements. Most rewarding to me has been the caliber of professionals I have been able to associate with, including RESNET staff, the RESNET Board of Directors, the rating industry and leaders of many of our collaborating partners and countless industry stakeholders. As I plan my retirement, I’m satisfied to know that the organization is in good health, financially and positioned with a solid team of individuals that collectively are passionate about the RESNET mission. Additionally, I have continued excitement about the future of the rating industry. A demonstration of this is the RESNET Board adopting the audacious goal of a million RESNET ratings being conducted annually by the end of 2028. I wish I could have the opportunity to thank each of you individually but know that I carry in my heart all the relationships and friendships generated over the years. Thank you for being a part of a rewarding career. I am sure I will reflect often on the memories I carry with me!
