Maryland builder JT Custom Builders is the February 2024 RESNET® HERS® Index Builder of the Month. We talked with owner Jimmy Tereyla about their HERS-rated homes. Tereyla tells us, “A HERS-rated home demonstrates to the Owner of the home, the Builder, and anyone else involved the commitment to building better, more energy-efficient homes. It goes beyond “talking about” building better and actually shows a tangible result for the efforts put in.” He continues, “It’s a non-negotiable item for us.
