With nearly 4 million HERS-rated homes nationwide (and counting!), we are currently seeking a Programs Manager to assist with the implementation and growth of our cutting-edge programs for energy and water efficiency, carbon, and energy codes. This fully remote full-time position will play an important role on our small, dedicated team, helping to serve a large network of home energy rating professionals, builders, and government and industry stakeholders. Responsibilities The incumbent in this position will work closely with RESNET’s Programs Director to: • Manage the RESNET water efficiency rating program, HERSH2O®. For information on the HERSH2O program go to https://www.resnet.us/about/hersh2o/ • Manage the RESNET Carbon Index Rating Program. For more information on the program go to https://www.resnet.us/about/resnet-carbon-rating-index/ • Provide support to state and local code jurisdictions that are exploring adoption of incorporating a HERS Index Score into their energy code. The state of Texas has adopted such an option in its energy code – for more information go to https://www.resnet.us/builders/hb3215/ • Assist with new program development and updates to existing RESNET programs. • Support the RESNET Programs Director. Required Skills and Qualifications • Experience in managing energy efficiency programs. • Experience in developing and delivering presentations in live and virtual environments. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and technical orientation • Experience using Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Experience working from home or in a fully remote work environment. • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Ability to travel approximately 6 – 8 times per year. • Additional Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with homebuilders or within the residential construction industry. • Experience with the standards development process. • Familiarity with energy code development and adoption. • Familiarity with residential water efficiency, and operational and embodied carbon emissions. • Familiarity with residential green building programs, Energy Star for New Construction, DOE’s Zero Energy Ready Home Program, Passive House, Indoor AirPlus, or WaterSense Labeled Homes. • 3-5 years of experience as a certified RESNET HERS Rater or Rating Field Inspector. • At least 2 years of experience using RESNET-accredited energy modeling software. • Familiarity with the International Energy Conservation Code. • Experience working with state and/or local governments.
