In his keynote address, Mr. Sims will cover how the ICC is leading the path to net-zero carbon homes and how the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is moving to achieve this goal. Dominic Sims is an expert on the application of building safety technology, code and standards development, and community resiliency. He has served on and chaired numerous national committees and task forces spanning a wide range of topics related to building performance and safety. The ICC is the leading global source of model codes and standards and building safety solutions that include product evaluation, accreditation, technology, training, and certification. The Code Council’s codes, standards, and solutions are used to ensure safe, affordable, and sustainable communities and buildings worldwide. The organization is responsible for the IECC.
