Iain Walker of Berkeley Laboratory Appointed to RESNET® SMB

Iain Walker of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has been appointed by the RESNET Board of Directors to serve on the RESNET Standards Management Board.

The Standards Management Board’s purpose is to oversee the maintenance of the RESNET standards and amending the standards. 

Iain is the Leader of the Residential Buildings team at LBNL with annual research funding over $5 million. Iain is an ASHRAE Fellow. He is a leader and developer on standards and technical committees for ASHRAE, ASTM, RESNET, IECC, the IEA and other national and international organizations. Mr. Walker is a board member of IEA Annex 5 Air Infiltration and Ventilation Center. He also serves as the deputy department head for Whole Building Systems Department of BTUS and research coordinator for US Department of Energy (DOE) Residential Buildings Research for LBNL. Iain is the leader of DOE core National Laboratory IAQ team. He has authored over fifty journal articles, eighty conference papers and seventy research reports.

Steve Baden, RESNET’s Executive Director, welcomed Iain Walker to the Standards Management Board, “RESNET’s standard development will be strengthened with Iain’s internationally recognized technical expertise and experience in developing consensus standards. His service on the Standards Management Board will strengthen the science foundation of RESNET’s standards.”
