The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) just announced an RFP for the next batch of Building America teams – this time focused on retrofit solutions for decarbonizing homes and residential buildings at the community scale. It’s intended to work with other federal, state, and local initiatives and incentives, by putting expert “boots on the ground” to help solve the hardest technical challenges of home decarbonization. DOE has set aside $9 Million in FY23 funds for this work, with the option to expand the work with future year funding.
