ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-2019, Standard for the Calculation and Labeling of the Energy Performance of Dwelling and Sleeping Units using an Energy Rating Index: Standard ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-2019, the second edition of Standard 301, incorporates all addenda to ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-2014 and substantially expands energy ratings for Dwelling Units and Sleeping Units in multi-unit buildings. This first major update of Standard 301 has been under development for over two years beginning with drafts of the standard originally intended to transform RESNET’s Guidelines for Multifamily Energy Ratings into a standard. The 2019 edition also moves the RESNET MINHERS® Appendix A requirements for inspection of Minimum Rated Features into Standard 301-2019 Appendix B and provides consensus requirements for grading the installation of enclosure insulation Standard 301-2019 Appendix A. Standard 301-2019 will replace Standard 301-2014 as the basis for the RESNET HERS® in 2019 at a date to be determined. A transition period will be provided for ratings to be developed as required by ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-2019. ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380-2019, Standard for Testing Airtightness of Building, Dwelling Unit and Sleeping Unit Enclosures; Airtightness of Heating and Cooling Air Distribution Systems; and Airflow of Mechanical Ventilation Systems: Standard ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-2019, the second edition of Standard 380, incorporates all addenda to ANSI/RESNET/ICC 380-2016 and extends testing in support of Energy Ratings to Dwelling and Sleeping Units in multi-unit buildings. Standard 380-2019 will replace Standard 380-2016 for systems testing required for the RESNET HERS® in 2019 at a date to be determined. A transition period will be provided that correlates to the transition period provided for ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301-2019.
