Draft PDS-02, RESNET/ICC 850-202x Update (Comment Opens January 17, 2025)

Proposed standard RESNET® /ICC 850-202x revises ANSI/RESNET® /ICC 850-2020, Standard for the Calculation and Labeling of the Water Use Performance of Dwelling and Sleeping Units Using a Water Rating Index, to update the standard for the 2025 edition.

This is the second public review draft, PDS-02 of RESNET® /ICC 380-202x. It is released for public comment for 45 days beginning January 17, 2025, and ending March 3, 2025. Only the changes to draft PDS-01 shown in draft PDS-02 by strike-through and underline and red print are open for comment.

Tips and Reminders for Submitting Public Comments 

  • Comments must pertain to the changes shown in the draft as either strike-through or underlined text in red print. Comments not on the changes under consideration will be rejected.
  • Comments should include a specific proposed change to the text of the draft open for comment and an explanation sufficient for the review committees to understand the commenter’s concern or objection. Proposed added text must be underlined and text proposed to be removed must be shown using strike-through. If not submitted in this format, the public comment may be rejected.
  • Do not submit comments on other chapters or on sections or proposed changes that are not identified as open for public comment by red print. Comments not on the proposal under consideration will be rejected.
  • If you submit public comment representing the collective interests of a group of stakeholders, you are encouraged to submit ONE public comment and identify all stakeholders in that comment.   • Public comments are reviewed by committees comprised of volunteer members, that are Raters, Providers, Software Developers and other industry and public interest stakeholders. They are not reviewed by RESNET Staff.
