The RESNET/International Code Council Standards Development Committee 1500 — Embodied Carbon is responsible for proposed Standard RESNET/ICC 1550 to provide a standardized method to calculate and report the embodied carbon impact of homes.

SDC 1500 WORKING GROUPS

The purpose of this standard is to provide a consistent methodology for the calculation and reporting of the embodied carbon of dwelling and sleeping units. The standard will define the scope for calculating embodied carbon and a methodology for conducting the calculations that uses the same modeling data and processes and reporting employed by standard ANSI/RESNET/ICC 301.
