RESNET® NEEDS YOU! RESNET asks you to join our industry and our partners in urging Congress to preserve the 45L Energy Efficient Homes Tax Credit. The Inflation Reduction Act extended the 45L tax credit through 2032 and expanded it up to $2,500 for ENERGY STAR homes and $5,000 for Zero Energy Ready homes. As the new Congress convenes the 45L tax credit is being looked at for reduction of its benefits and even elimination. It is critical that we educate Congress on the benefits of the program and the broad base of private sector support it has with the private sector across the nation. RESNET will be coordinating an education effort for this goal. The first step is a letter to Congressional leaders to support the 45L tax credit. The letter is posted here.
